Alison Leventhal Joucovsky MA LPC: Executive Director
Alison has been working in nonprofits and with older adults for 25 years in direct service, community organizing and program development. As the founder and Executive Director of Sunshine Home Share Colorado, she has works in the capacity of program development, fundraising, marketing, and outreach. As the Program Coordinator and Community Organizer for Jewish Family Service of Colorado she ran an innovative program supporting Aging in Community in Denver and Jefferson County she has a large network of connections and relationships in the older adult services community. Seeing a need for innovative programs to support aging in place and affordable housing, she worked to develop the first home sharing program in the state of Colorado. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University and University of Northern Colorado.
Micaela Capelle MSW
Micaela joined the Sunshine team in Fall 2017 as a University of Denver Masters of Social Work student intern concentrating in Aging Services and Policy. She was hired on as Sunshine’s Social Service Coordinator in Fall 2018 to take on the clinical portion of the work at Sunshine. She received her Bachelors of Social Work degree from the University of Portland and has worked with the older adult and mental health populations. Not only does Micaela work for Sunshine Home Share Colorado, but she is an active participant in the program. She currently home shares with a 99 y/o woman living in the Bonnie Brae neighborhood.
